Russell Simmons created the RushCard so that you could enjoy the benefits of a credit card without the expensive penalties, high interest rates, and danger of debt that a credit card can expose you to. The RushCard will empower you financially by providing a safe place to store your money until you’re ready to spend it however and wherever you want.
The card requires payments in advance, which are then used to offset future purchases made with the card. Money can be loaded by direct deposit, PayPal, Check, Mail Order and retail affiliated merchants.
There is a one-time activation fee of $19.95. You are charged a $1 transaction fee for each purchase made with the card, however this is capped at $10 per month.
A refer-a-friend program is available where you receive $5 for every referred applicant who becomes an active RushCard™ member.
Unlike most prepaid credit card this card does offer shopping discounts at participating retailers. Unfortunately, this card does not report cardholder transactions to the credit bureaus. |
